Everyone knows that breastfeeding is the natural way to feed a baby and that it has countless benefits for both mother and baby.

However in our society, many women struggle and give up much earlier than they intended. We believe that with accurate information, and mother-centred, empathetic support, women can find breastfeeding enjoyable, rewarding and empowering.

By pooling our knowledge and expertise, it is our aim to help women have a positive experience of breastfeeding.

Support offered in:

central, west and northwest London.

What do we offer?

  1. Home visits:

  2. We come to your home to help with any breastfeeding concerns before or after your baby is born. We have found that seeing a mother and baby in their own environment can really make a difference. (£60/hr + Parking)

  3. Antenatal Breastfeeding Workshops:

  4. A three-hour antenatal breastfeeding workshop, plus telephone and email support.

  5. We look at how breastfeeding works, how to achieve good positioning and attachment and why it is so crucial, and the importance of skin to skin in stimulating oxytocin in mother and baby. We explain Biological Nurturing, a new approach to breastfeeding pioneered by Suzanne Colson, which makes use of babies’ innate behaviours and neonatal reflexes. We also look at the research of Nils Bergman, Helen Ball and Kathleen Kendall-Tackett. We show DVDs, provide a range of leaflets and information about breastfeeding resources, recommend books and inform you of all the latest research. (£75 per couple, £60 for one person.)

  6. Private Breastfeeding Class:

  7. We provide antenatal breastfeeding preparation tailored to your requirements, in your own home, including all the elements covered in our workshops, plus telephone and email support afterwards. (£100)

  8. Weekly breastfeeding drop-in:

  9. Meet local mothers, have coffee or tea and biscuits and get individual support. Tuesdays (term-time only) from 11 am to 1pm, in Queen’s Park. (£10 for one visit, £5 for regulars). Call Myriam for details.
